There’s a huge difference between these two magazines. As you can see the music magazine VIBE featuring trey songs, he has a much more serious face then the girl in the college magazine who is smiling is much jollier. The VIBE magazine has a 3 colour scheme of white red and black and these all go well together but the college magazine on the other hand has a different sort of colour scheme.


The masthead of vibe magazine is very bold although its covered a bit by the picture of trey songz but it still stands out because of the choice of colours, a striking red. The colour red signifies passion and energy and it follows very well with the shot taken of trey songz.


The cover lines inform us on the other artist and topics that will be featured within the magazine and the same thing is also done in the college magazine. they've both used clear font so that its easy for the reader to read.


The bar code, both magazines have included a barcode on their front cover and this is a very common thing with magazines, and so happens they may include an affordable price beneath this to the audience it is aimed at.
