XXL double spread textual analysis
The main thing that is portrayed in this double spread page is the dominating image of an extreme close up o the male hip-hop artist face. The image dominates the whole of the right hand page, creating an immediate eye attraction to the image. B.G is looking directly into the camera in this shot, by doing this he is addressing the audience on a more personal basis by looking directly towards the reader. B.G shows no immediate emotions towards the reads.
The headline 'LONG TIME COMING'. takes up most of the space on the other page and it attracts eye attention towards the article and creates an interest for the reader on what the article contains.
As stated below - two magazines and the cover, contents pages and DPS - the DPS you choose needs to help you create a DPS and needs to have an image and also an interview or Q&A - this DPS has very little text and your analysis for all three pages is rather short.

Also media kits? Useful for understanding target audience and genre and to help your analysis.
